How it all started:
T3 Performance is the result of car guy with a passion
to help. Whether it involved finding that one part that
took a little extra effort, or donating his afternoon to
help someone fix their vehicle in a time of need, Tim
has always been there to help out.
Tim's humble beginnings with v-dubs started with a
variety of MK2's; buying broken junkers and fixing them
up to sell. The first real car that he modded for himself
was a 2000 Jetta TDI with an ALH engine and a 5-speed
manual. This sparked an obsession for diesels that has
lasted a lifetime.
Right from day one the work started. This Jetta needed a ton of work, but the work taught Tim the basics of what was needed to make a little hot rod.
From replacing every bushing, to a custom exhaust, a
full body wrap, to his own tuning, this car saw it all.
With a few other TDI's under his belt, Tim started to
build a name for himself wrenching at Partly Dave's
Neighborhood Garage in Vernon by day, and working
late into the night on his own customer’s cars at his
personal shop in Armstrong. His local car group was
taking full advantage of his side work which included
full mechanical and parts supply.
Life then took Tim to his start in the dealership world,
first at a VW dealer as a parts and service advisor. This
was a great learning experience in the service industry
and the building blocks of his career in the automotive
world. His next move was to Kelowna Audi as the parts
specialist. Audi was a great next step and the biggest
realization for the need of a store like T3 Performance.
